Loring Kaveney likes this.
Be aware that you won't be able to upgrade past 10.0.9 if this hasn't been done. March 1 is the deadline per Infor. Good luck everyone!

There are differences between the ORACLE DB Characteristics and the SQL DB Characteristics that need to be accounted for. Like dates and integers, making this a not so simple task.

Using the internal Lawson utilities like expsysdb/impexp which creates a flat file from the source productline that can be used to import into the target productline. This requires you to have an operational Lawson Environment (LSF) with attached productlines at the exact same version level; one  Read more...attached to ORACLE and one attached to SQL. If you data is large, this can be a long running process and may jeopardize your desired down-time.

At ClearSky/TeamAbsolute, our developers have created what we call the MIGRATE.S3 which migrates Lawson data from one ORACLE to SQL outside of the Lawson environment. This is done at the data base layer resulting is high-speed migration with the target data base in Lawson ready format. Depending on who you are currently hosted by, this tool can make this migration pretty easy. Show less...

Employees working across multiple independent process levels

Categorized as:

Currently we have multiple head process levels but have not allowed employees to cross process levels. With the acquisition of another entity, I will need to add another head process level. We already have employees working at here and at the organization we will bring on January 1. Therefore, we have to set up the system to meet our needs when employees work in multiple head process levels. We do not use Position Codes.

I understand that I can add another position record on  Read more...HR11 for the other independent process level with the appropriate department, job code, and rate. This would force the wages to be expensed correctly to the GL.

Question1: Can I force the deductions to come from the home process level on HR11?

Question 2: Is there any way to report all the earning on one W2 (home process level)? Infor tells me no, but I have seen old posts on Infor that this can be done.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am crunched for time and look forward to your feedback. Show less...

Yes, I would definitely recommend Digital Concourse to a colleague. Until joining Digital Concourse, being new to the industry, I didn't have a clue as to what/when Lawson events were taking place across the country. Now because of the emails that I receive, I can be proactive in my marketing and research prior to events taking place.
THank you for ALL YOU DO! Lois Rainey, Intellias, Inc.
