The Infor (Lawson) user groups have been a long-time industry staple for Lawson users to share how they are getting greater value from their Infor software investments. Sponsoring the user group events around the country provides unique opportunity to uncover the common concerns among Lawson users as well as where there are pockets of innovation.
In addition to presenting content on Infor CloudSuite, Birst, and how we are helping customers with updates like ADFS migration, it is a great opportunity to see where customers are experiencing success and connect with Infor product development experts and business leaders to collaborate on solving the issues keeping customers up at night.
Our recent stop at the MRLUG meeting held at the Infor Headquarters was one of the best meeting venues I’ve been to this year (Check with me next week after a few days in Disney for the SELUG meeting). The backdrop of New York City and spectacular skyscraper view from the 8th floor balcony infused a lot of energy into the meeting. One of the highlights was Infor CEO Charles Phillips addressing the group and sharing Infor’s journey over the last several years, including how they have worked hard to create exceptionally usable SaaS versions. Infor offers 23 CloudSuite products and has integrated artificial intelligence and analytics into its cloud platform. He addressed questions about Infor going public and the game plan to raise Infor’s profile and increase brand recognition in the market.
With 70 people in attendance from organizations such as the Hospital for Special Surgery, Brooklyn Public Library, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center, the one question on everyone’s mind was “what is new?” and there was no shortage of topics. Delmar Dehn delivered a phenomenal presentation on security reports in LSF and detailing Landmark Security, leaving attendees with a better understanding of the Landmark Security components and how to successfully support security procedures for Infor Landmark V11. Rachel Paek shared great content on how to develop Infor OS Ming.leTM homepages and widgets. This popular session taught users how they can optimize the Ming.le user interface with their Lawson applications to address their business requirements.
Birst was a new topic for many attendees and it was exciting to deliver education on the BI and reporting solution. It truly is a game changer from what Lawson users are used to in LBI/IBI, delivering true business intelligence to help users make smarter management decisions based on actionable information.
I encourage anyone attending an upcoming Lawson user group to join our session on Birst to learn about the product roadmap and how to use Birst to unlock the collective intelligence of people and data to generate a wealth of meaningful, easy to read, real-time information. In addition to product information, we’ll also share Birst use cases and how Avaap customers are able to make better business decisions along several different dimensions and leverage their data more quickly.
If real-time data-driven insights are on your wish list but you’re unable to join us at one of the local Infor (Lawson) user group meetings, reach out to schedule a one-on-one overview of Birst analytics and reporting and how it can help your organization leverage the power of data.
