I am not sure why that would be happening unless your organization blocks the pop ups. Can you click on the image of the Capital Building above your comment? That should open the Registration Page.

Developing Management Hierarchy in GHR

There's a Business Class (Table with business logic) Supervisor where managers' information is created/updated/stored. You can create managers under other managers. The SupervisorChart Business Class (BC) is in sync with the Supervisor BC. This chart is a graphical representation of the hierarchy. You can create Positions from Jobs and assign managers from the Supervisor BC to the Positions. The Position info is related to the employees' WorkAssignment BC. If the employee Position changes ( Read more...Transfer, etc.) the relational rules sync this information and the Supervisor for the Position changes accordingly. This is a very simplistic way to describe these processes. If I have to come up with a way to determine Supervisors for workflows, notifications, etc., I would start with the employee's Position on the WorkAssigment BC, and get the Supervisor for the Position. In order to go up in that branch of the Supervisor tree you need the Field ParentSupervisor. This will allow you to move up until you get to the root. Hope this helps 😉 Show less...

Good Morning Everyone! I'm new to the KLUG and fresh back from the Winter Showcase in St. Paul. I've got some questions about moving to CloudSuite. My organization, GBMC, is currently third-party hosted. We're looking to implement GlobalHR and there are some pretty convincing arguments for moving to the Infor cloud, but I'm not sure I understand all the pros and cons very well. If anyone has experience with this or some good documentation I could peruse, I would be extremely grateful! Than

Hi Travis!
Your instincts are good! There is a lot to consider. Not only the platform change, but the impact on the organization in moving to the new solutions. The technology is very different from S3 and brings added functionality such as workflow, collaboration and configuration (no more customizations). With that, this becomes a project that the business owners for each area need to be engaged with fully to leverage the new features and functions. In IT, you'll move from  Read more...supporting patches and upgrades to utilizing the new tools to enhance operations for the end users.

Has anyone implemented a custom requisition approval workflow using IPA?

Categorized as:

We are in the discovery phase of a requisition approval project. Our stakeholders have requested a workflow that routes approvals based on Accounting Unit/Requisition Cost, with secondary specialty approvals for items like IT, Biomed, Facilities, etc. Has anyone implemented this type of flow? What type of database did you use for approver lookup (homegrown, Lawson, budget system, etc.)? How did you roll it out to your organization? Any information or advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
