From the beautiful wildlife to the majestic scenery, President, Jamie Bails, and her family enjoyed a bucket list vacation traveling by air and rail through the Alaskan wilderness. A favorite for her daughter Diana was stopping to see the glaciers.

There are over 100,000 glaciers in Alaska  Read more...spanning 28,000 square miles. One of the most popular, due to accessibility, is Exit Glacier. A fifteen-minute drive from Seward, Alaska, Exit Glacier is one of thirty-five glaciers that make up the Harding Ice Field in the Kenai Mountains. Considered small at 14 square miles, Exit Glacier has played a significant role in the discussion of climate change due to its visual recession in recent years.

Fun fact: The first expedition to cross the Harding Ice field ended the journey through this glacier, thus giving it the name, Exit Glacier. One of the ten-member team was Yule Kilcher, grandfather of singer, Jewel.
