Wanted to check with you to see if we can speak on Tuesday, 2/21 at 11am? Please advise.
Thanks,
Linda
Thank you for offering to talk with me. Would you mind if I included my Payroll Analyst on the call?
Tomorrow is a busy day for me as well. What about Tuesday next week at 11am PST? Send me your phone number and I will call you. My email address is lwernsing@valleychildrens.org
Thank you so much.
Thanks for responding. We have lots of questions as we try to figure out if moving from multiple companies to multiple process levels will work for us and if it's even possible. Would you be willing to speak to me by phone?
Thanks,
Linda
Since the decision was made originally to go to multi HR companies, which is a bit unusual, there must have been a business need to do so. Bringing them together with multiple tax ID's is not difficult, there are questions to be answered such as will employees cross process levels (tax reporting entities) in their work? If they do cross process levels, do you want them to have a single W2 or do you want them to receive multiple W2's? Lawson could potentially treat them as a Read more...single employee, expensing them to the correct area, but keeping a single W2.
Do you have process levels that "roll up" together for tax reporting purposes? Is it possible for an employee to have existed in more than one company in the current structure? Assuming you would only have a single employee number going forward, a decision would need to be made on which one would take precedence and if moving mid year, how to handle the historical wages. In this scenario, if you are not using them currently, I would recommend using position codes and rules that would direct how you want this to look. Also, do they use the same chart of accounts? Pay structure? Deduction structure? Benefit Plans, Leave plans?
I am afraid I have answered your question with more questions. Hopefully it is food for thought, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thank you!
