PR13 and W4

Does anyone understand how the Martial Status on the W4 correspond to the options on PR13? Specifically the option for Married filing jointly. I see there are a few different options, but don't really understand what they mean.
Also, with the extra withholding amount where does this go on the PR13? Would it go under Tax info1, like it currently does?

Hi Victoria - thanks for reaching out to us! All states differ when it comes to selecting the appropriate marital statues in PR13. The most common one used for "Married Filing Jointly" is #2 - Married. With regards to the second question: extra withholdings go under the second tab in PR13. Your tab may have been personalized to state "Tax info1", however, the tab can also be called "Addl Tax Info".
